4kw Chapter 10/11

By Justin G. on

Taking the time is what these chapters are about.

The post is just some raw notes and thoughts from my reading of Four Thousand Weeks.

Notes for 10

Things take the time that they take. Just admit it.

Patience is my super power. How do I also trust in that in my work?

Notes for 11

Admit that you don’t know and slowly examine the situation with care.

Having problems is a good thing. At the minimum, it is something to do.

The experience of patience is “tangible, almost edible.” -Grudin

Do smaller, more sustainable amounts, as little 10 minutes, and always with weekends off. Less is done in the short term, but way more in the long run. Because you don’t stop.1

Don’t hasten. Relish instead. Attend to one thing at a time.

Keep going. You’ll get to your own originality eventually. Stay on the bus.

  1. Look at me, not stopping on the weekend.
