Drowning in Distraction

By Justin G. on

Lately I’ve felt much more acutely the demands on my attention. The unending prompts to join newsletters, the ubiquitous advertisements, even my own constant curiosity about so many different things new to me or not. I’ve written about it recently: a, b. I don’t have the answers, but I think I have a couple of things to try.

The experience of it: drowning, falling, out of conrol.

Take control; be intentional about where you spend your attention.

Pull back, regroup. Just pause for a bit.

Devote time to fewer things, but things that recharge.
